Don Crum and other Business

First things first, many apologies for the lack of posting lately. The lack of Spring Break at a normal time has lead to work building up without a minute to spare for a post or two.

As many of you heard -- or showed up at room 714 to find -- unfortunately our last speaker, JD Haas, fell ill at the last minute and had to cancel his talk. Good news, however, is that he's going to reschedule just as soon as he feels fit again. Pardon any inconvenience this may have caused anyone, but when he finally does get here it will be worth the wait, I'm sure.

I realize everybody's probably ACHING for some professional advice at this point, and for that, there's another bit of good news! Our next speaker will be Don Crum, of Pixar/Disney fame, who will be joining us at the Powell building, room 130, from 1:30-4:30 pm on March 31. It's a Saturday, so I know that 90% of us shouldn't have class and therefore can't be unhappy about a conflict. Make sure to keep those schedules open!

For anyone who hasn't had a chance to actually make it to club, the last few weeks have been dominated by an in-depth look at the principles of animation, why they're important, learning how to apply them, and finding them in your own work. Once we've gone over them all, I'll make a big post about it up here.

Until then, can't wait to see everyone Friday for some more coffee, donuts and critique!

  1. I apologize to those who showed up and found nothing. I tried to make it but was still really sick. I'm still not 100% but would love to reschedule for another talk.
